Just a bit of Cardboard.....

Not all of us have stores close by and sometimes they are not
even open at the odd hours of the night that we scrap so.....
sometimes grabbing something that is laying around and creating
something fun and memorable with it is both rewarding and really cheap!!

We asked the DT to come up with some fun projects
using old pieces of cardboard that they have laying around
somewhere on their projects and pages and we think you are going
to really love the ideas they came up with for you today!!!

Baseball Snack Tray by Sandy Ang
This cardboard tray would amaze anyone if you put these
out for a baseball playoff or even a baseball themed party!
The base is made from our Baseball Diecut and cardboard and then
Sandy cut out holes and decorated cute cups to put lots
and lots of yummy snacks in for the party goers!!!

"Cool" by Petra Offrell
I loved using cardboard as a base for my page.  I painted it with some
acrylic paint mixed with water to get a white wash look.
Then I attached a lot of my embellishments
using machine stitching . It is so, so easy on cardboard.
 Supplies:
Best Creation -  I ♥ America: IA 006, 016, 004, 012
GCS 043 (opal white) & GCS 004 (Red),

Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Other: MM acrylic paint, tim holtz die, Spellbinder die,
QK alphabets die, YouDo Cardboard base, machine stitching

"The Big Adventure" by Alicia Barry
The picture is from my son's first camping trip
with his Grandparents (he was so excited). I layered lots
of pieces from the Camping collection and a tag for journaling and then
I tore and inked a piece from a cardboard box to use as a photo mat.
I also cut the inside from the die cut paper to be left with a frame
for the outside edge of the page.

Materials:
Kraft cardstock, GC 009, GC002, GC004, GC007,
Die Cut GC011, GC001, 6x6 paper pad GC 016

fun it is to use all the scraps that you have and how
all the colors work together really great!!

Sarah had such a great idea to cut the chipboard into
a star and ink it, then layer it and then she covered
stickpins with stars and used them for her title.

Supplies used: 12x12 Paper:,#GC008, #GC009
 6x6 Paper Pad: #GC016

"Superstar in the Making" by Jodi Wilton

a reoccurring role on a NBC series? We are so proud of you,
and can't wait until your show- Against the Wall premieres,
and I get to see you as Faith!

Designer Tips: You can use your Sizzix to
cut out shapes from Cardboard! Also to achieve another look,

try using Best Creations Foam tape to layer some
of the cardboard embellishments that you created!
