DIY Tutorial: Snoopy Sneakers

DIY Tutorial: Snoopy Sneakers

Learn how to make some awesome customized and personalized sneakers using our iron on vinyl!  Perfect for back to school and birthday gifts/projects!

Materials Needed:

Best Creation Matte Heat Transfer Vinyl:  Iron-on HTV01 and HTV02 (Black & White)
Any sneakers you want - easiest to apply to cloth sneakers (ex. Converse/Vans)
Cutting Machine or dies
Scissors
Iron

Purchase the materials on our website!

Step 1

If you are going to be using a cutting machine, get your design in an SVG format for cutting. You can find similar FREE SVG files  for the Snoopy and paws on our SVG Files board on Pinterest here.  Make sure you format the size to fit on the sneakers you are using, and to use the mirror function BEFORE you send to your cutting machine. For designs with different layers, you must cut with intersection vinyls to try as much as possible not to overlap and make your design features more precise. Remove (weed) the extra vinyl, leaving only your desired image.

Step 2

Place your image on the sneaker with plastic facing up (Refer to the photo). Make sure you place a separate piece of thin material on top before applying heat and set your iron on medium high, no steam.

Step 3

Apply firm pressure with iron for 30 seconds. You need to begin with the back layer. Remove the plastic. Peel while cold. If you want, place the separate material or protective cover over image and iron on for an additional 5 seconds. And finish with the last level.
