EASTER BASKET

Today we created a cute Easter basket, given that it seems to be just around the corner! This would be an awesome project to do with children. Here is what you need:

Materials
Best Creation Glitter Cardstock GCS068
Best Creation Foam Tape FT001
Plain cardstock - Pink, blue, white.
Design Paper
Natural Clothespin

Tools
Ruler
Glue
Bone folder
Rotary Trimmer 17”
Scissors or cutting machine

Follow these steps:

Step 1.  Cut 1 sheet of the Glitter Cardstock Paper GCS068 using the SVG file.
You can cut using a cutting machine or with scissors.

This is the SVG file needed for step 1.  We can provide this for you, just send us an email.

Step 2    Score the layers cut in step 1 using a bone folder. (Refer to the graphics).
This layer is the base of the box.

This layer will be the top of the box.

Step 3    Cut another sheet of Glitter Cardstock Paper GCS068
into 2 pieces (4 ¼” *3 ¾” each)
(These will be used for the side of the box-the windows that close and open)

Step 4   Score the pieces using a bone folder.
(Refer to graphic-  4 ¼” side= score at 1 1/16 ”).

Step 5   Going back to the base of the basket, apply glue or double-sided redline tape to the 4 corners. Fold the sides in, so the basket will begin to take its shape, like the graphic above.  You can hold the sides together with clothespins while the glue dries.

Step  6  Stick the 4 ¼” *3 ¾” rectangles to each side. Apply glue or double sided tape, and adhere so it resembles the graphic.

Step 7  Before attaching the top layer of the basket, you can cut a handle and glue it to the top.

Step 8   Finish by attaching the top half of the project, as shown by the graphic
using glue or the double-sided tape.
You can use the clothespins to hold it in place while the adhesive dries.

Finish up by creating some decorations for the outside of the box. We did an Easter theme, but you can make your own designs depending on the occasion. Here is our finished product!

  1. Hi, that's beautiful!!
Can you please tell me what's the best glue to work with on your glitter card stock? Every glue I tried so far adhered but than fell off...I used the glitter card stock to make a cake topper, and it didn't glue to wood sticks. Aldo fell of a metallic finish card stock. Any advice?
    Thanks!
