Fun with Creative Titles

Picking out paper is easy and taking lots of pictures is easy too
but sometimes figuring out a cute title and making it in
a new way can be a big challenge sometimes.  Our DT put
their creative minds to the test and created layouts
for you today with lots of fun and unique ways to do titles.

Priceless by Alicia Barry

Alicia's favorite technique at the moment is to use a quote as a title,.
For this one, she used a rubon, but took one word
from the quote and replaced it with chipboard letters to make it stand out.

Supplies:
Karaft cardstock, BC Gone Camping: GC002, GC003, GC004,
GC007, GC010, Prima flowers, Kaisercraft rubon.

"Just like a Star" by Guest Designer- Shannon Morgan
That's right we have another talented guest designer for
the month of May!!  She is a stay at home mom and loves
scrapbooking and you will see lots more of her this month!!!
"You-nique" by Nicole Wise
Layout Description:  I am not much of a journaler, so it's
really important to me that my layouts have strong titles.
One thing I like to do sometimes is to use a "play on words."
In this case, I used "YOUnique" instead of "Unique."
Then, I simply wrote the line "In a garden full of butterflies,
you are the most colorful."  My daughter is getting to the age
where her red hair is really noticed by her friends (not just by the adults
who are forever stopping us in the grocery store
to tell us how beautiful her hair is).  So far, it's been positive,
but I know  that may not last.  She is beautiful and special and totally unique.
I wanted to create this layout to show her that she
IS beautiful and that it's OK to be different, to stand out from the crowd.

"All American Kid" by Liz Chidester
I cut letters using my Sizzix out of BC's silver cardstock and
then inked the top half of the letters using a red ink pad.
Finally I faux stitched the shadowbox portion of the letters.

supplies:

IA002, IA013 stickers, IA012 stickers, IA008

"Into outer Space" by Sarah Mullanix
For the title, I used the little type alpha stickers and placed them
around the top of a cut out circle to add interest and to coordinate
with the other circle punch outs and stickers on the layout.

Supply list:
Paper: Item #R002, #R003, #R005, #R006, #R007, #R008, #R009
Sticker Sheets: Item #R012, #R013, Die Cut Paper: Item # R010
Directions:
1. I used the striped patter paper as my background and
placed a sheet of white cardstock on top of the striped print.
2. Cut yellow print and dot print 12" long by 1" wide.
Adhere towards bottom of page and place ribbon in between strips.
3. Cut die cut sheet so that only top right quarter of page shows
and place just above pattern paper strips on left.
4. Cut dark blue pattern paper into a circle, then cut a smaller
circle out of the middle, cut edge with scalloped scissors.
Place under top right of die cut paper and add title stickers.
5. Add stickers and punch outs to layout to embellish.

"Got Smores" by Jodi Wilton

Techniques: When I make titles I like to mix up the font,
in order to add some extra interest! the BEST CREATIONS
tiny alpha's are perfect for this! I also like to ground my titles
with a solid cardstock sheet. For this layout I made a banner
and added the foam letter stickers on top. I also wanted to
give the title added interest to make the SMORES look
like marshmellows, so I added some chalk ink at the bottom
of each letter to make them appear like they were "roasting".
Finally, I love to use layers! I use my Best Creations foam tape
to pop the banner and tiny alphas up to give the whole title added dimension.
