New Travel Destinations!

I think the best part of traveling is going to new and different
destinations all around our planet.  We get to see new cities and meet
new people and find new foods that we never would have tried
had we stayed home in our hometowns.

Today we are taking you to some far off destinations
and sharing with you some fun ideas in creating layouts
to remember your fun and exciting trips away.

Our first guest designer of the year is talented Amarilys Doria.
She is from the sunny state of Florida
and loves to scrapbook as you can see from this
gorgeous layout above.  We love her detailed, victorian
style and we are so happy she could design some projects
for us to show you this month.

The frame outside of the photo is created by cutting the papers
in the center under it and rolling and inking the papers so that it
looks like this rustic old world kind of charming border and makes the photo
stand out perfectly.  Another great idea for chipboard pieces is to use them
as the center of flowers too.

Kim made this super cute 2 page layout and put her focus on the places
that they visited with her photos in 2 rows at the top and bottom.
The airplane sticker on the left leads you right to the title
and the other stickers are popped up with foam dots
and gives the pages so much more dimension and interest!
Sometimes in a busy destination layout you can lose the photos
in all the product but Nancy did a great job with her photos of
New York City in their size and placement and adding
journaling cards to tell you all about what happened on her trip!

Irit created this fun layout and focused on the girls
and the excitement they had on the plane ride getting
to their destination.  She used lots of the travel stickers
to created a border and then journaled on top of them.

design by Irit Shalom

Our Brittny created this layout stitching around a tan
piece of cardstock and then added the photo and papers
in the center of the page for a crisp and clean styled layout.
She used a black pen and journaled around the outside center
of the photo and popped up her title to give it some dimension.

Here is another 2 page layout from our guest designer Amarilys Doria.
The layout is clean and yet detailed and your focus is entirely on the photos
and the colors she picked in papers really set the photos off.
Adding personal details to a layout gives people your
sense of style and makes it so much fun to share with
your friends and family for years to come.

Julie created this fun layout with our glitter cardstock
as the outside border of the photos and mixed the title
with our mini letters and chipboard letters.  The outside
edge is drawn with a black pen and she created her own
acrylic embellishments that look like buttons to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out
the last day of our Flower blog hop.

The contest ends tonight so be sure and
get your entries in for a chance to win lots of goodies from BC.

Have a fun and inspiring day!
