Vintage Box

Today's project is a vintage box made with our Glitter Cardstock. It would make for a great gift or decoration piece! Follow these simple steps to create your own:

You will need:

Materials

Best Creation Glitter Cardstock GCS030 (1)

Design Paper for your decoration
Fabric Glue
Optional - Best Creation Strong Tape (double-sided redline tape)

Tools

Ruler

Bone folder

Rotary Trimmer 17”

Let's get started!

Step 1  Cut the Glitter Cardstock Paper GCS030 (11” x  4 ¾” )

Step 2  Score the layer using a bone folder. (Along the short side, score at 4 ½” and  6 ½”).

Step 3  Using the leftover piece from step 1 of the Glitter Cardstock Paper GCS030,
cut 2 pieces (4 ¾” x 4 ½”)  and 1 piece (4 ¾” x 2 1/16”

Step 4  Using fabric glue, paste the back of each of the three pieces to the back of the original piece (so you can have 2 glitter sides) with the pieces corresponding to the scored sections.

Step 5  For the inside of the box, cut your design paper (8” x 8” )

Step 6  Score the layer using a bone folder. (Refer to the graphic = score at 2” from each corner).

Step 7  Cut the 4 corners to form flaps, like the graphic.

Step 8  To form the box, apply double sided tape or glue to the end tabs and glue the sides together.

This is what the box will look like.

Step 9  Using fabric glue or double-sided redline tape, paste the base of the box
to one of the 4 ½” x 4 ¾” Glitter Cardstock sections, as shown in the photo.

Step 10  Decorate as you wish!

Here is our final project. We went for a vintage-theme:
