Fun and creative Bookmarks

Since all schools are in session now, Pretty sure your child,or if your a teacher, have books to read. So why settle for a boring original bookmark? We have made fun, creative, and colorful bookmarks! these go over the corners of the pages instead of the original bookmarks that go right through the middle of the book. We have contrasted our papers with our Washi Tapes and Glitter tapes and we do say, THESE MATCH SO WELL!

For this project all you need is Cardstock paper of your choice, Washi Tapes, Glitter Tapes, Glue Tapes, scissors, ruler, and a pencil. Below are the steps to get the do the bookmark.

With the ruler line up three squares. Cut the squares out(not each but the whole outline of the three squares). You fold one square corner to corner with itself and do the same with the other square. Fold over the triangle shaped corner over and the same as for the other triangle side.

After i have folded my bookmark i start with either the Washi Tape or Glitter Tape and line it up till i cover the background perfectly. Glue one flap on top of the other. Then your finished and have completed this very easy bookmark! :)

Here is an example of how these book marks work!

We used our Basic Glitter Paper in Sunflower Dot(BGP202) and Kiwi Dot(BGP203). Matched the yellow with our Washi Tape in Chamomile(WT002) and the green with our Washi Tape in Lavender(WT003).

We used our Glitter Paper in Pink(GCS001) and Sky Blue(GCS009). We matched the Pink with our Washi Tape in Peach(WT013) and the Sky Blue with our Washi Tape in Osmanthus(WT006).

We used our Glitter Paper in Bronze Copper(GCS030) and in Plum(GCS047). We matched Brown with our Glitter Tape in Sky Blue(GTS007) and the Plum with our Glitter Tape in White(GTS010).

Back to School Spruce Up

Since now that all school district's are back in session we thought, "Why not do a little project with our papers?"
and flash cards are always a essential in school! So here is a little project we came up with for the new kindergarten students: "MY ABC's Flash Cards" This is a fun way to get your child excited for their ABC's. and with our different colored star basic glitter papers this for sure will have your child loving their ABC's!

For this project we used the supplies pictured above, which is our Basic Glitter Papers in Red(BGP301) Orange(BGPS303) Yellow(BGP304) Dark Blue(BGP305) Ocean Blue(BGP306) and in Kiwi(BGP308).
We die cut the papers using our Sizzix Big Shot with the little rectangular scalloped die cut. We glued all the flash cards to the basic glitter papers using our Glue Tape in Dot(GT002). We used a single hole puncher for all the flash cards and clipped them all together with a binder ring. This project took no more than 10 minutes! It was so simple and easy to make this project, all just to see that smile upon you child's face when they see their flash cards! :)

DIY Wall Art

DIY wall art! "She Believed She Could So She Did". Here we used our Glitter Card Stock in Prussian Blue (GCS019) for the background of the wall art and for the letters. Layered the base with a plain white card stock so the letters and feathers will stand out. For the feathers I used our Glitter Card Stock in Gold Leaf(GCS062) and the other two feathers were our Basic Glitter Paper in Princess DOT(BGP210) and in Lilac DOT(BGP229), we just used the solid colored back of the paper. Glitter is always fun to work with and it makes such a shining statement. Check out our eBay and Etsy store for my Glitter Card Stock colors, Basic Glitter paper, and other scrapbook supplies! This is the supplies we used for our project. We started off with a white basic card stock for the card. We sized and cute the base of the card, (BGP101) Lilac. We used our Glue Tape runner in Permanent (GT001) to glue the base to the card. For the Butterflies i started off with our Glitter Card Stock in    Orchid(GCS002), Rose(GCS003), Sky Blue(GCS009), Silver(GCS012), White(GCS013), and Light Purple(GCS027). We die cut each one 3 times with a little butterfly die cut, using our Sizzix Big Shot. We used the Glue Tape (GT001) and our Foam Tape in Small Circles(FT002) to place the butterflies on the card and created a waterfall 3d border but making sure to leave space  for our phrase. Once finished with the butterflies we started on our phrase for the card. We used a basic black card stock, used our cricut and with the cartridge Wild Card. We used the phrase setting, selecting shift then pressing the "1". Make sure the correct phrase is in the little screen and once confirmed you can push cut. After the phrase is cut we glued it using the glue tape(GT001) and placed it in the space available. To finish off the card we added our Bakers Twine in Mauve(BT107). And this card was the final product of our project! Fun to make and great for a special someones birthday! :)
