Fun With Acrylic and Helmar/ Day 4

The week is flying by with all these fabulous projects
to show you and here it is already Thurs and Day 4.

Today we have some more wonderful things to share
with you using our new Rock Star and our
Splash Fun Collections and a little bit of acrylic here and there!!

And.. it's another great day to tell you about how much
we adore using Helmar Adhesives!!!  Be sure and check out
all the great things they have on their blog and facebook
using lots of our glittery goodness too all this week!!!
"Acrylic Wall hanging" by Julie Walton
My acrylic project is a wall hanging for my grandson Trevor's room
featuring the Rock Star 6x6 glitter pad!!!  The paper I chose is a
perfect match for his room, he has that exact plaid!  I used a mini acrylic album,
2x3, by ScrapWorks...an oldie from my stash.  I used regular acrylic paint,
watered down and splattered with an old tooth brush on the
front side of the acrylic and then dipped the edges in the paint as well.
I applied the paper to the backside of the acrylic with Helmar Gemstone Glue
which dried so perfectly I cant even see where I put it....
love the dimension it gives!  I applied the felt alpha letters to the front.
.again giving it great dimension.  Then I added some stickers from the
Rock Star line to the fronts for a little extra sparkle.  I punched holes
in the acrylic and strung ribbon through to connect them all,
add some great clear ribbon for a hanger, and some great chandelier beads
at the bottom and Trevor has a great decoration for his room which I know he will love!!

Supplies
Rock Star 6x6 glitter pad
Rock Star Stickers
ScrapWorks Acrylic album
Heidi Swapp Chandelier beads
American Crafts Felt Alpha
Ribbon and paint from stash

"Waterpark Fun" by Teresa Horner
I made this book with 2 pieces of thick Hambly Acrylic and
3 big white envelopes that I got at the office supply store.
The pages are done with both the 6x6 and the 12x12
pieces of the New Splash Fun Collection. It was
really fun to do and I loved how all the papers
went perfectly together and I can't wait to put photos in
it from Raging Waters Waterpark this summer!

To add more of a watery look I added Royal Coat
Dimensional magic on the beach balls.  It is really
thick and dries pretty quick and
you can make your own epoxy's with it which means
it is perfect for all those water drops...

I love to make envelope books because you can fold
them all different ways and the huge pockets that you
have make a great place to store lots of extra photos in.

The colors on these papers are just beautiful and are
going to go great with all the fun water photos that you
take for the summer.....

Supplies for the card and mini book are:
Splash fun 6x6 mini, chipboard, stickers, tags, borders,
Helmar Scrap dots, 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, tape runner
and clear squares to pop things up.
 also used:
Hambly Clear Acrylic, 6x9" white envelopes,
silver metal rings and ribbons.

Stay Cool in the Pool by Kim Arledge

Be sure and click on the photos to see all the cute
details that she put into the book.....

You can make cards with acrylic too!  We replaced
the front with a piece of acrylic from Best Creation TBW010
and decorated it with a stamped image from inkadinkadoo
on plain white paper and embossed it. Then we
framed it with a Spellbinders eyelet squares die cut from
our basic glitter dot paper in yellow.
Then we just added a mini flag banner and your are all set
to send a fun summery thank you to someone special.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and leave a comment for a chance to
win your choice of any of our 6x6 minis today and

be sure and check back Friday and Saturday for a really
fun 2 days with Helmar Adhesives
 and Where's Waldo game!!!
