A Tribute to all the Mom's around the World

Mom's for centuries have had the responsibility of raising kids,
taking care of the cooking, cleaning, schooling and all the other
things a family needs in their homes.  You have to be available at all times of the
day and night and especially when anyone is sick and help your kids
get that big school project done at the very last minute with a smile!!

Today we would like to celebrate each and every one of
you with a special tribute for all that you do for your families
and for all the people in your life that you help to make a difference in.....

We hope that each of you has a
Wonderful Mother's Day
this Sunday and gets to celebrate with those you love most
and do what you love doing the most....

"New Love" by Karen Taylor

For my layout I used BC Ballet Princess paper(BP003, BP009, BP011, BP013
and Glitter Cardstock GCS045 Pink Diamond and GCS011 Lime.
I also used a paper doily,  Martha Stewart leaf punch,
prima pearls and flowers, Clearsnap Ink,
Maya Road Bare Chipboard letters, and some craft paint
to paint my bare letters to match my layout.

"Our Team" by Kim Holmes
Baseball is the sport at our house – we are all ball players
and with a family as large as we are, we mimic the
baseball team atmosphere! I was excited to use the
new Baseball Papers for a layout about Motherhood ---
my kids are truly my team! These papers were perfect!

Here is a close up of Kim's journaling

"Mamma X3" by Petra Offrell
Being a mom is a big responsibilityhard work and endless happiness.
All the time, it is something you want to viewlike help with or cuddle
a constant interactionIf I leave the room, it will not take five minutes
before I hear someone call out "Mom". Being a mother means
to shift the focus from myself to my children.
Not being able to plan and to always be flexible.
Working full time while having 3 children means a constant lack of sleep
and very little time for yourself
But it also means a love so great that I did not think it was possible.

"It's the Little Things" by Karen Thind
Mine is titled "its the little things", and the journalling around the edges
of the pp and circles is about the little signs that show I'm a mom.
My dd gets stickers after her dance class and instead of putting them
in her sticker book she loves to put them on my wallet,
she loves adding to the collection and loves looking at them at other times.
So whenever I go out without the kids, it pretty obvious I have kids :)

"Because I'm your Mom" by Nicole Wise
Once I decided on the papers I wanted to use, the black and white photo
that I had printed didn't work as well as I'd like.
I knew that a sepia photo would work better, but didn't want to re-print the photo
so I inked the entire photo using "Antique Linen" Distress Ink.
That gave the photo the sepia look I was after without having to reprint!
Then, once I got inking, I couldn't stop!  I inked around the patterned paper
as well as the journaling and title paper.  I also inked the flowers
using two colors of purple ink.  I also cut the leaves out from one
of the graduation papers to really pop the flowers.  The green is a perfect accent
for this otherwise monochromatic layout.  This is one of those layouts
that my kids will look back on and hopefully understand why I am so protective of them!
