New Ideas for September

Hi Everyone,

Out here in California it's time to start picking
apples and getting the last of the raspberries-
so with that in mind I created this fun little
Apple Recipe Holder to keep all
the yummy recipes for the
things I am going to make with my apples
that I just picked !!

For the box -I picked up one from our local 1$ store
and covered it with our adorable apple paper.
I punched a cute flower border and glued it to
the front top and bottom. Then I used my Spellbinders die to
make the label for the front with white cardstock
red glitter dot paper and added dots, ribbon,
black stick on letters
and flowers from Prima.

For the dividers I cut and rounded the corners
of rectangles and punched some tabs out of the red
dotted cardstock we have.

For the recipe cards I embossed them with my
cuttlebug folder and stamped them with my
recipe stamps from Stampendous!
This was a really fun project to create and
would be great to do with
matching aprons for Christmas gifts!

This photo was from the Apple farm at Riley's-
You can see the trees were loaded and the
fresh juice was cold and crisp and delicious!!

Today is our first day to introduce an
awesome stamp company called
They have adorable stamps with 100's of designs
and the quality is excellent!

This cute dog was done with our Sunflower paper( gp410)
with a bit of glitter cardstock (gcs030) for the matting! I love
the way it shines in the sun, how cute is this !!
The image was colored with Copic markers and
colored pencils. Flowers are from Prima.

I am sure for all of you the leaves are starting
to change which means fun hikes
through lots and lots of crunchy leaves!
When you take your kids for a walk
this fall have them each create a book
to keep pictures that you take of each of them
and the beautiful trees and landscapes
and don't forget pockets for
all the little things that you pick up along the way!

Get started early for Thanksgiving with this adorable
little image of a turkey and a pilgrim hat...
We used our glitter dot paper and the acorn paper
from our Autumn Splendor Collection.
Don't forget to add some chalk inks to
give it dimension and a little bit of an antique look.

This card was fun to do with the Ahh... Nuts stamp from
Whipper Snapper Designs
I got the wood look on the paper by flipping over the glitter
dots paper and embossing it with a Tim Holtz die on my Cuttlebug.
I sanded it and inked it and added some orange straw and a
piece of ribbon and colored it with Copics and pencils.
This is such a cute card to give to just about anyone!
